My MOM - Mother's day edition early

In honor of Mother's day this sunday, I am going to write about my mom! (since I usually don't have time to get on during the weekend.)

My mom, Kasey, has been my mom since I was 8yrs old. My biological mom left when I was 5, (she still only comes around when she wants). My daddy married Kasey, when I was 8... now the interesting part about it she is only 11 years older than me. At the age of 8 and 19 it didnt seem as close as it may to some now. But she is an amazing woman... she took on marrying my dad, and raising me and my lil brother. I CAN NOT imagine where I would be if she had not come into my daddy and our lives. My daddy is a good man and did the besthe could in those three years after my biomom left. I was the tomboy in the neighborhood, she made me a lil more girly.. lol :)
I remember the first dress she ever bought me... I SOOOO didn't want to put it on. I'd much rather play with the boys outside.
She was always at every school function and extra curricular activity I was involved in from middle school thru high school. In 8th grade I chose to write a paper about her as the person I admired the most! She has always been so involved in our community (one of those everyone knows my mom or knows I am her daughter kind of things lol). Can't even go to the store without her knowing someone every ten steps. She has been so amazing, though overbearing at times, she always voices her opinion. I love her so much, she is one of my best friends.

I've always said I wanted to be like her, where I could balance my work and my kids schedules as well as she did/does. I have a half sister that is my precious baby sister and I know she will have MOM at everything just as she was at all of my stuff and I wasn't her biological kid.

She never has treated us (my bro and me) as anything but HER kids.. and would have adopted us in a heart beat if given the chance!
I LOVE HER!!!

She is so talented, and right there when I needed her help for my wedding, she did my flowers, catered, and did the decorations. She is so wonderful.

She is the best NAN to my kids, they love her too. She spoils them like grandparents do. Always getting them lil things here and there.

So HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY MOM... I LOVE YOU!!
